Ayodeji Balogun popularly known as 'Wizkid' is no doubt a popular Nigerian recording artist. Wizkid was born on
16th of July 1990 in Surulere,Lagos, he was born and brought up in a polygamous family and he is the youngest of the six children. According to Wizkid biography,it reveals that he ventures into music at early age of 11 and started from the church, forming the group called the 'Glorious five' with a couple of his church friends. Ayo Balogun Aka Wizkid was found by OJB Jezreel where he recorded his first song with one of the Nigeria's celebrated Icon, OJB Jazreel, Later then he recorded 7-track album which was released in church under the name 'Lil Prinz'. The song gain him deal of encouragement and recognition from Families,friends and throughout Surulere, though it wasn't huge enough to make it in the music industry. So he had to work harder and spent lot of time in the studio. He later met Banky W and they became friends prior to starting a professional relationship, Wizkid later got signed to Banky W's Empire Mates Entertainment, and featured in Banky W's Album and released song that earned him more recognition and fame that he had always wanted. Wizkid was featured in an official song "fast money,fast cars" by M.I who was the owner of the song, after he took music as a profession in 2009. He wasn't really noticed in the song " Fast money,fast Cars" except for the attention drawn to his singing style and his unique voice as he took the chorus. This Talented super star released a song titled "Holla at your Boy" in 2010. The song was pleasant and accepted by Nigerians especially the youths, because of the beats,passion and effort put in and the swag displayed which made them eager to listen and dance to it. Just few weeks after the track was released, the video was as well released. It was superb and a bomb and this honor and credits went to Banky W. Wizkid there after consistently released other hit tracks like "Don't Dull" and "Tease me". He released his debut Album "Super star" in 2011. Wizkid as a talented Singer,Song writer. And a performer has performed on local and international stage with some biggest artist in Nigeria music industry and America Artist including Akon, because of his fame,recognition and style of singing. He has been a choice of many youths and has a lot of fans both home and abroad. He has been rewarded with different awards including 2012 BET award for the best African act and Many more.
